Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja to make his Bollywood debut in Sai Rajesh’s next? Here’s what we know

The yet-to-be-titled love story featuring Yashvardhan Ahuja is set to bring the next generation of the legacy of Govinda to the big screen. The filming has been scheduled to begin in 2025. Over the past 35 years, Govinda has captivated audiences worldwide with his comedic performances. He’s best known for Aankhen, Sajan Chale Sasural, Coolie No. 1, Ek Aur Ek Gyaraah, Bhagam Bhaag, and Partner.

Even today, Govinda remains one of the most cherished actors in Indian cinema. And numerous filmmakers are eager to collaborate with him across various genres. Fast forward to 2025, and his son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, is poised to make his acting debut, continuing his father’s illustrious legacy.

According to insiders who spoke to Pinkvilla, Yashvardhan is set to enter the Hindi film industry. He will be debuting under the direction of National Award-winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh. As reported a unique love story promising to stand out will be released. “The untitled film will showcase the second generation of Govinda’s legacy. Yashvardhan auditioned for the role and secured it based on his talent. Sai Rajesh will direct the film, produced by Madhu Mantena in collaboration with Allu Aravind and SKN Films,” revealed a source close to the project.

Additionally, the search for a female lead is actively underway, with plans to introduce a fresh pairing on screen. “Mukesh Chhabra is leading the nationwide casting call for the female protagonist, and over 14,000 audition clips have been received thus far. The female lead is expected to be finalized soon, as the team aims to begin filming by summer 2025,” the source added.

Sai Rajesh and the producers are also focused on creating an original and soulful music album for the love story. They recognise the pivotal role that music plays in making a romantic film successful.
